Maktab
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is reported to have said:
If Allah ta'ala wants to favour someone, He grants him the understanding of din (religion)
(Sahih Al Bukhari)
Seeking knowledge is a way leading to paradise. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
Whoever follows a path to seek knowledge, Allah ta’ala will make the path to Jannah (paradise) easy for them.
(Sahih Muslim)
Islam holds parents responsible for steering their children's upbringing according to the teaching of the holy Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad (SAW)'s way of life. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
'Allah ta’ala will ask every care taker about the people under his care and the man will be asked about the people of his house hold' (Sahih Al Bukhari).
The main purpose and objective of seeking knowledge is to attain the recognition of our Creator and attain His pleasure.
To ensure each child of our community manages to attain the above virtues and objective, Lanarkshire Mosque Maktab offers evening classes for 5-15 year olds, between 5pm-7pm, Monday to Friday.
